What's the name of this movie where the father is hitting his son?

I was very young when I saw this movie in "school cinema". But it was
about a boy who regularly got beat up by his dad. I remember one scen
when his dad hit him in the butt(?)... this boy had a best friend and
his family was very kind. They try to help the boy in the end... I
think the movie was like... Spanish or Italian... dont remember but
something like that... it wasn't an English movie.
